Effective Article Internet Marketing

With somewhere over 300 million internet websites currently floating around in cyberspace and more being created each day it is becoming harder and harder to stand out in the crowd. Content is still king but if it’s not quality then you are wasting your time and possibly your money.

Effective article internet marketing consists of more than just banging out a few hundred words on a computer. A trained monkey can create content. But it is up to you if you want to write content that sells.

Excellent writing is required so that your internet article has any chance of being a marketing success. Such writing requires close attention to a number of different points.

The clever use of keywords is an absolutely essential starting point. Identify a few words that define your topic and make sure these are included in your article. If well executed your article will rise in the search engine rankings, increasing your visibility and sales. Remember that search engines are also programmed to identify websites which use an excessive amount of keywords. If you are guilty of this your site will be blacklisted by the search engines. An overabundance of keywords is also often apparent to the reader.

Another crucial aspect in article internet marketing is readability. If your article is written by a trained monkey he might be able to read it but there is no chance that anyone else will be able to.

The goal of effective internet marketing is the creation of a piece of writing which has a natural conversational tone. If the reader can sense that you are giving him or her the “hard sell” then you won’t sell.

Don’t forget that internet marketing is selling. So pitch your article towards the needs of your target audience. Ask yourself some questions: What gender are they? What is their age? What motivates them? There is no point trying to sell ice to Eskimos. Even the most well written article will never achieve that.

Now go and sell your monkey to the circus and start writing.
